Florin Lobonț is professor of philosophyand PhD supervisor in philosophy at the Department of History, Theology andPhilosophy of the West University of Timisoara. He holds a degree in philosophyand history from the University of Bucharest, a master's degree from theUniversity of Oxford and doctorates in philosophy from the Universities ofWales in the UK and Babes-Bolyai. Member of numerous scientific societies,including Holocaust Research Institute - Royal Holloway, University of London;Romanian Philosophical Society; R. G. Collingwood Society, UK; RomanianCommittee for the History and Philosophy of Science and Technology of theRomanian Academy, Timișoara Branch. Fellowships at Central European University,University of Wales, Universita degli Studi Milano, Royal Holloway-Universityof London. Editor-in-Chief of the journal Deliberatio: Studies in ContemporaryPhilosophical Challenges. Director of the European Logic-Based Therapy &Consultation Institute, Timisoara. Founder and director of the master's programPhilosophical Counselling and Consultancy, West University of Timisoara. He haspublished articles, chapters and books mainly in the fields of philosophy ofhistory, post-Holocaust philosophy, philosophical and ethical counseling,applied ethics and history of philosophy.
